Marquise Tuxedo Violin
TEST
TEST
Capturing the elegance and opulence of the Art Deco movement, the Tuxedo violin bow blends modern style and refined finesse. Its subtle, sleek geometry reflects its refined and poised tonal palette. It serves the violin player by catering to technique and expression with tranquil dexterity in the hand.
The world's supply of instrument-grade ebony is endangered, so we invented the Xebony® frog. Xebony® is our unique combination of resin and natural fibers that results in a natural grain and elegant shine, delighting both violin players and bowmakers. Xebony® offers more strength and durability than natural ebony, allowing us to help conserve endangered resources without sacrificing bow quality.
Each high-wear component (such as button bearings, tip plate, and tip wedge) on the Tuxedo violin bow is meticulously engineered with the industry’s best composite materials to provide a lifetime of worry-free play.
The CodaBow Tuxedo carbon fiber violin bow is GlobalBow® designated, ensuring the bow was not made using any regulated, endangered, or monitored species (wildlife or plants). You can carry your Tuxedo through international Customs without worry.
With decades of experience, we have discovered that bows rely on more than just carbon fiber to create exceptional, refined sound. The meticulously crafted Natural Acoustic Core inside the CodaBow Tuxedo violin bow is made of a medley of organic plant fibers, providing an authentic, rich experience.
Unidirectional carbon fibers run continuously from button to tip on both sides of the Tuxedo bow’s shaft. This breakthrough technology lets a player sense the violin bow's full-length dynamics and response in a completely new way, emulating the grain pattern of the finest Pernambuco bows.

The bow has clear potential. We are becoming acquainted. I am comparing against many decades of a nice pernambuco bow.
I like my Codabow very much, and it has an improved dynamic response. It is well balanced and feels good in the hand.
Time will tell, but the friendship is promising.
A terrific value!
I have a nice wood bow over 5K, and I find myself going to the Tuxedo now almost exclusively. It’s such a great bow. I actually tried two different Tuxedos (for viola), and I noticed slight variation in their feel and sound. So I would recommend anyone going for a custom model, to try more than one before making your final decision. I’ve recommended all my students who are upgrading their set ups recently, to get a coda bow. I’ve had three or four students do so, and their growth since has been exponential, as they realize that the bow can give them much more to discover about their sound.
I can’t believe I hadn’t discovered Coda Bow earlier in my life. I guess I always just thought that carbon fiber could never come close to a wood bow. But I’ve been very impressed with what Coda offers to players at all levels.
